I am beyond impressed with Paul's Automotive Inc.. Being that I am a young female, I am always very hesitant to take my car to any sort of auto shop in fear that they will take advantage of my lack of car knowledge and charge me for things I don't need. A few weeks ago water started leaking onto the passenger side floorboard of my car. I am somewhat new to midtown so I chose Paul's Automotive Inc. because of the good reviews on Yelp. When I called the shop, they explained what the problem might be and told me to come in a few days later a 7:30am when they opened. I brought my car in this morning and Paul was extremely nice and got my car in right away. 10 minutes later they were all finished and Paul explained to me that it was a clog from debris that just needed to cleared out with some air and there would be no charge! I couldn't believe it! If you are looking for an honest automotive shop in Midtown Sacramento, Paul's is your place.

So I joined YELP just to post my review for Paul's. We were stranded in Sacramento headed to a family reunion in Tahoe because our car kept overheating. We took the car to Paul's and they were so great to us! They rushed the part needed for delivery the next day and despite there being a couple of surprises once they really got in to the car problem, they were able to think outside the box and come up with a solution so we could get back on the road and make our family reunion. They even picked us up from our hotel when the car was ready! Paul and Mike were great. Thanks guys for helping us out and getting us to Tahoe in time for our reunion! Highly recommend.

I just had a very positive experience at Paul's. They had replaced wheel bearings on my car 2 weeks ago, but the car started making the same noise again. I dropped by today without an appointment, Paul checked out the car and said it was the same problem. He fixed the car today at no charge (the problem was the quality of the part they had used) and even had time to provide regular oil change services for my car. Paul also gave me a ride to and from my office. I haven't been going to Paul's for all that long, but he certainly earned my loyalty and trust today. Thanks, Paul!

Even though it's a bit of a haul to get there , I've been taking my old '87 Fiero to Paul's every now and then for the past 20 years. They are fair, knowledgeable, will detail your problem, and work with you towards finding the most economical repair approach. Although prices do not seem cheap, I realize the only way to get cheap auto repair is to do it yourself or run a great risk of shoddy workmanship by taking it to a place that advertises cheap repairs. Regardless, they certainly cost less than going to the GM dealer. Highly recommended.

I take my car to Paul's for two reasons: Honesty & Reliability. I know when I take my car here, it will be fixed in a reasonable amount of time and they won't try to sell me on things that my car doesn't need. I have been known to take my car to the dealership from time to time for oil changes, but I end up paying more and leave with a list of things to fix. I take that list to Paul and am told which things are necessary and which are just nit-picky things my car doesn't need to run well.I feel that Paul and his fellow mechanics treat me well, explain what work needs to be done, and I leave knowing a bit more about my car and the lingo (with additional help from NPR's Car Talk, whose website help me find Paul's in the first place). Whenever my friends are looking for a new mechanic, I always recommend Paul's because I trust the quality of their work and the honesty in their business practices.

I've been going to Paul's for at least 15 years now, having been referred there by a friend long ago. They have always been consistant with good service at a fair price. This past week, they once again saved our behinds by providing service above and beyond duty. We were able to have our car towed to Paul's and even though we couldn't pinpoint the exact problem they were able to find the cause of the various issues being encountered and were able to fix these issues in a timely manner. I appreciate having mechanics to turn to that I have trusted for many years and continue to receive high quality service with clear communication all through the process.

I can't say enough positive things about Paul's Automotive Inc.. Paul, Mike and the crew are an honest, hardworking lot and that's hard to find in the realm of auto mechanics. The cost isn't cheap, but it's quality. Paul is straightforwrad about services needed and costs and doesn't try to push sales on you. The other thing I really appreciate was that his guys installed something on my car and one of the undercarriage pinnings came loose. I understand that this can be common on some cars, but the plastic base started dragging in the freeway. I called Paul, he said he would order the replacement and he would fix it--no questions asked, no hassle... just another 30 minutes out of another day (he bumped me ahead of other customers to get the problem taken care of right away). There's definitely a reason he's been in business for almost 40 years.

Honest work at an honest price (notice I didn't say cheap). I'm not looking for the cheapest place for the same reason I wouldn't look for the cheapest surgeon, my life is dependent on my car and there's alot of other places I would rather be frugal. I feel comfortable bringing my car here without feeling that my lack of knowledge of an internal combustion engine or the fact that I wear high heels will factor in the estimate of services. I would highly recommend this place to any woman looking for a repair shop. Tip: take your car in before they open, there is usually a line starting about 15 minutes before they open, and the earlier they can get to your car the more likely the work can be done same day.

I take both of my cars to Paul's. They always do a good job at a good/fair price. I have never had any issues with them and will continue to take my cars here!

I've gone to Paul's for a while now, but the topper came this week. My 98 Nissan Sentra broke down on Saturday, with double trouble: a clutch/transmission problem causing the car to go in and out of gear on the freeway, and a starter problem causing it to cut off and not start up. Fun.I was stranded 16 miles from my house. Instead of having it towed to the nearest AAA shop for what I knew would be a costly job, I opted to pay $132 for a tow directly to Paul's. The moment it landed, I felt a huge sense of relief; my car was "home" and in good hands. (Not only did Paul's diagnose accurately, as usual, the price was fair and the repairs were done in just four days - one day after the clutch came in - and the final cost was *below* estimate. The starter problem cost just $100. All told, instead of $2000 out of pocket and 8 days without a car, it came to $1050 tax included. Plus, both parts and labor are guaranteed by Paul's for a year. Yep, it's as good as it gets!
