What a great experience for a car shop! Everyone was knowledgeable and nice from start to finish, they really value you as a customer...that customer service skill most places lack these days. I used them for my smog and they also accepted the states CAP certificate. Lots of street parking if you are there in the morning. Thanks! p.s. My car passed...YEAH!

I took my car here after a not-so-good experience with another local mechanic who had messed up a job--- Paul's Automotive Inc. figured out the problem, called me with an estimate and fixed it in decent timing. It can be pricier than other places, but as I learned at the last mechanic, sometimes it's worth it to pay the extra $$ so you can feel safe driving! The only thing to note, is sometimes parking around there can be a drag.

I agree! Paul has always been honest and fair. I also had a potentially expensive repair when a bolt on my rack & pinion steering broke inside the box. Any other mechanic would have just charged me for a new steering box but his mechanic took the time (a couple hours) to get the bolt out and simply replaced it with a new one. All I paid was the labor. I would recommend his shop to anyone.

I just used Paul's Automotive Inc. for the first time from the recommendation of a friend. Needless to say, I'm a woman...and I've always heard such horror stories of women being taken advantage of when taking their cars to get any type of auto work done. I took my car to Firestone to get a quote for some major repairs and they quoted me $1800...which sounded pretty high and they knew I knew NOTHING about cars. With my friend's recommendation, I tried Paul's Automotive Inc.. I took my Firestone invoice of all the stuff they quoted me which I needed to get fixed (prices included) and Paul's not only beat them by $800+ but when I came to pick up my car, Mike (the gentleman who worked on my car) also showed me all the parts which he took out and actually explained to me why the parts needed to be replaced. I don't think you can get anymore honest than them. If they really wanted to rip me off, they would've quoted me the same exact price as Firestone or slightly less since they saw the invoice. Paul's Automotive Inc. is not out to get our money...they're actually one of the most honest businesses I've probably ever been to. Thank you Paul's Automotive Inc.!

i'm a newbie at Paul's and find the service to be quick, very reasonably priced and yes, most importantly, honest.my 1992 car didn't pass the smog check this year, and they suggested i apply for funding assistance from the state for repairs! how do you like that?!not open on weekends :(

I can't say enough about Paul's. My entire family has been taking cars there for years. They have always been more than honest, even when it will cost them money. In fact, my grandmother used to take her car there to get serviced. The only form of payment that Paul would accept from her was an apple pie. It is so nice to have a repair place like Paul's in Sacramento.

I found out about Paul 8 years ago from a co-worker, and I've been happily telling everyone I know about his shop ever since. He's always fast, reasonably priced, and HONEST. He has actually recommended against high cost repairs when lower cost fixes will do the trick. When I lived in the Bay Area for 18 mos., I _still_ would only take my truck to him.Trust him. You can't go wrong. Oh, and if you need something he doesn't do, (like tires) he's always ready with good referrals.
