My car broke down on the 4th of July in Vacaville. No auto body shops open, no rental cars available (or open for that matter). I towed my car to another auto body shop who was open the next day. Bad decision. Was told I needed a new engine. My Dad (got to love your Dad) said I needed a second opinion. I yelp auto body shop sacramento and Paul's came up. I towed my car to them. Was quoted $400-$900 for repair and a week to do it. Bill came out to $350 and 3 days later. They were able to save all the parts that could be saved and ordered a pin/bolt from the dealer saving my a engine retrofit! When the same problem happened to the other side of my engine (not their fault) they looked at the car free of change. Gave me an honest opinion of the different options, what might have caused the damage, prince to fix the car, etc. When I have the money to afford that repair (alas it is more expensive than the first), they will be the guys to repair it! Never felt like I was in better hands. Honest, and try to save you money.

I went there today for my first time thanks to all the great Yelp reviews. I was not let down. I had a drain and refill done for my transmission fluid for 40 bucks. Other shops I looked at wanted 88 bucks! I was in and out in 30 minutes, and saved money :)

I just had my smog check done at Paul's and continue to be impressed. I've been going to Paul's for about five years for routine oil changes and quirky stuff, like headlight bulb replacements. (Okay, I know I should be able to do that last one but Paul's makes it so easy and reasonably priced I don't ever question it). I love that I can drop my car off in the morning and know it will be ready by the end of the work day, if not at lunch! This place sets a high bar for excellent customer service and quality work. Just be sure to call ahead to make sure they have room for your service needs a day or two in advance.

Great Service!! I brought my car into have my air conditioning unit looked at after I had other work done by another auto mechanic from a major chain. I didn't trust the work done by the major chain since they wanted to charge me to look at my car for something they should have done in the first place. Paul's Automotive Inc. was able to fix the air conditioning system even though they were booked up that day. Price was fair. Great customer service. Would definitely take my car in again to Paul's.

I've reviewed several mechanics, and was a little skeptical about Pauls' Automotive's rating considering there weren't that many. I took my truck there first thing in the morning to have them diagnose a check engine light. By that afternoon they contacted me about an O2 sensor that was failing, quoted a very reasonable price, then had it done by the end of the day. As I waited to get my truck, I was impressed by how everyone (male and female) were treated with the same respect. I know this should not be odd, but I have been to shops where this is not the case. My truck has been running great, I will be taking it back there for any further maintenance needs.

It had been a while since I had taken my car to get looked at and I found Paul's due to all of the positive reviews here at Yelp. They were right. They took my car in right away and gave me what seemed to be a reasonable quote to check over everything, including my barely functioning AC, squeaky brakes and a leaky tire. Bob warned me that they might not have it ready today, but they were done early and below estimate. He also took the time to recommend what work ought to be done in a couple thousand miles on the car. If only I was planning to be in Sac in a couple months, I'd be sure to go back to Paul's for the work tho the estimate on that made me gulp.

I have had my truck in to Paul's a few times now, and each time, I have been really pleased with the results. The prices are as fair as you can hope to find in the auto repair business, which is not something you can often take for granted. I have spent a lot of money there, but only because Ford has done such a splendid job of making maintenance and parts more expensive than they need to be! However, Paul's does their part to lessen the shock, and the bill is often lower than the initial estimates have been.Work seems to be solid, and they do extra things without asking (or charging), such as cleaning my corroded battery terminals and rotating the tires when doing some diagnosis on a suspension issue. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Overall, this is an island of sanity in the crazy world of car repair!

I'm a female stereotype. I don't know anything about cars except how to fill the gas. But now that I finally have my own car, I'm trying really hard to be proactive about learning to take care of it and most of all, I'm trying not to get bamboozled out of a lot of money. I took my car to another well rated yelp service for my 5k mile tune up about a year ago and I felt uneasy after leaving the place. In retrospect, I'm pretty sure I spent waay more than I should have. Being overly cautious for my 15k tune up, I found a bunch of places on yelp to call and I had no intention of making an appointment until I had talked to a few places and gotten a few quotes. But as soon as I called this place, I felt so comfortable and at ease. They were so friendly on the phone that it actually caught me off guard and they quoted me a price well below other estimates so I immediately booked an appointment for the next day. When I arrived, they were speedy and efficient. They took down my information, quoted me the same low price they had over the phone, and went over what they were going to be doing with my car and I loved that they also talked about services that I probably wouldn't need at this time to save me some money. My car was ready at the time promised and the end price ended up being exactly the same as the quoted price. Nothing more, nothing less. Speedy, efficient and honest service. I'll definitely be bringing my car back for all my future needs.

I brought my PT Cruiser here. This is one of the best auto repair shops around. I will be back for future repairs. I will recommend to friends and family.
